A new kind of barcode has been developed by researchers in the Media Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The Bokode is based on a new way of encoding visual information and could provide a variety of useful information to shoppers e.g. nutritional facts, as well as allowing easy product comparison.
